Sea Cove cottage is a beautifully renovated cottage set in the heart of Port Isaac, with stunning views across the natural harbour.
If it looks familiar it may be because you have seen it featured in ITV's Doc Martin. However a stay here allows absolute escape from the holidaymakers - once you enter the quaint little door off the main street you enter your own little haven. The cottage has been lovingly renovated over recent years to create a relaxing, spacious and surprisingly light-filled home that you just won't want to leave. The cottage - which sleeps 5 - is fully equipped to cater for all your needs and boasts two beautiful bathrooms featuring wonderful roll top baths. But the piece de resistance, as anyone who has been fortunate enough to stay there will tell you, is the view. Whether you are sunning yourself on the patio or relaxing in a rocker in the living room, we can guarantee that the spectacular view of Port Isaac's natural harbour and outstanding natural beauty of the cliffs and meadows beyond is one you will treasure for a long time.
The cottage underwent extensive improvement and refurbishment in Spring 2020.
As an extension to the original cottage the antique oak-floored sitting room is very light and airy, with a high-beamed ceiling and patio doors that open out onto the rear patio directly overlooking the harbour. The sitting room is perfect place to relax, read a book or watch TV.
The fully fitted kitchen has original Delabole slate floors and all the mod-cons that any chef would need; includes dishwasher, microwave, gas cooker with an electric oven, SMEG fridge freezer.
Used mainly as a dining area, it has an open fire and original Delabole slate floors.
The patio is a natural sun trap and once you've got the parasol up, the BBQ going and a drink in your hands, you won't be easily dislodged. Incidentally, the patio is paved with natural slate and has been finished with a strengthened, self-cleaning, sheer glass wall, leaving an unobstructed view of the harbour.
The cottage has two bedrooms and sleeps five. Beds have all been recently upgraded with a larger double bed and new mattresses.
The master bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a roll top bath and shower attachment. The family room has twin beds and a built-in single bunk bed (slightly narrower than a standard single).
Being a traditionally built fisherman's cottage access to the double bedroom is via the family room. There is a door separating the two bedrooms, but you may want to bear this in mind.
In addition to the upstairs en-suite there is also a large shower room and WC downstairs finished with hand made feature tiles and an oiled oak floor.
